What is one new thing you tried with your public portal? Please post a link to your public portal in your post.

I have continued to update my public portal (facebook page) on a daily basis. I updated the access that students, but still allow them to post on status updates- that way they can ask questions about assignments.

What is one new thing you tried using student devices?

This week I will be using the new "bloggies" (like a flip cam) that the library just got in. My students will be making a glogster poster to represent verb families and they will use the bloggie to create a video under a minute with a creative/unique way to remember their verb family and the family rule. This will be my first time using glogster with students, and although it is not a device, it is a new technology that I will be using in the classroom and am excited about the possibilities(plus students don't have to buy posters!).

Based upon what you tried, how will you use this in the future?

If the project goes well, I am considering using the "bloggie" cameras to do a project on VEMO or a similar video posting website with my Spanish 1 students.
