I have implemented a blog using blogger. I have really enjoyed using the blog as a portal to post classroom and school updates, reminders, our curriculum for the week, and pictures of students working. I have received a lot of great feedback from the parents of my third graders. They love seeing the pictures of their kids during school, and they feel more connected to their child's education. I have also received emails after a blog post relating to curriculum and how they, as parents, can help support at home. Here's the link:

We have been experimenting with student devices in my classroom as well. I have a few students who bring in the Nook and they read it during silent reading time. They seem to love it and the other students are really intrigued by this cool, electronic book. The problem that I am having is with the internet connection. Some of the students can connect to the wifi but others cannot. The technology reps at the schools, also seem to be struggling with the connection problems.
In the future, I want to continue to update my blog a few times a week and post pictures/video's. I would like to begin having the students video other classmates and prepare for next year. I thought it would be fun to have my current students talk about our classroom for the next wave of kiddos. I would also like to find out more about student devices and how to use them best in my classroom.
