In late fall I sent a newsletter to my parents using my distribution list and added some pictures of our Halloween party.
In social studies we researched famous African-Americans. I told the students that they could bring in their devices for the research. Some did and it worked well. It actually freed up the computers for other kids. Some used the Nook they got from the library.
I will encourage the class to bring their devices to school as long as they are on task.
