I have not been good at updating my blog. Life...
However, I used my blog as a means of research for my students during their Native American projects in early December.  I put in links for each Native American group that I had students researching.  They used the blog to access the info and worked togeher to make a Photostory.  The kids loved going to the blog to see the websites that they could look at for the project.  Everything turned out great.  My next hurdle is to get the Photostories complete and post those onto the blog for all to watch.

I haven't been able to try anything new with student devices because the access to internet has been tricky at Crestwood.  I opened up a "Lunch Bunch" to my class stating that they could bring their devices and we can chat over lunch about how we can use them and such.  I only have 2 students attend, both with Kindle Fire's and we couldn't get them to connect.  Work in progress :)

I really hope to use my blog much more in my daily/weekly class communications.  As of right now, the students are excited to publish their Photostories so that their parents can see.  I would really like to try using the blog as a format for book discussions during the Daily 5.  Hoping for this to be my next project.
