The one new thing I tried on my public portal is placing a web address and assignment on my google calendar. I like this method because the students have a one spot stop for their assignment info. My moodle is also fully public so students and/or parents do not have to log in to see the assignment info.

For student devices, I used poll everywhere for a class warm up.k
I like poll everywhere and will use it again in the future for warm up activities.
